Ah yes, Mr Atanasov. There are times when our greatest accomplishment is just keeping our mouths shut. A perfect little jewel of a memoir.

Just because you are a giant doesn’t mean you can throw a stone. Punch maybe. But if the juice has been spiked you go down for the count. To have the last laughs is the best club ever to a member with friends who will back you up.

I suppose you were quite a different child from the one I was.

Had friends, but if I was foolish they didn’t back me up.

Great microtrues (and congratulations on starting a new word trend, you trendsetter!). Enjoyed reading this! I looked at the photo and thought, "Someone's going to get launched!"

No-one I know has any idea how much I despise bullies. Just reading this makes me angry. I've called a few men bullies, heh.

Ufff.. a lot more than a few men are bullies, and a surprising number of women. But the bullying style is different.

Ohhh yes indeed, there are some truly dreadful women bullies. But the men I've told off were in my immediate vicinity…I just had to say something.

I loved reading your story! I haven't gone through anything similar yet I could relate so much.

Great, Andrei. Very vivid and relatable. (Though, I must admit, I don't remember much of my own childhood years. It's all a blur from the time around the age I imagine this to be.)

Looking forward to getting to read the one you submitted. Let us know how that goes.

Microtrues is a great work, btw ;)

I've yet to tap into my playground years for story fuel. Still too scary. 😬 Brave of you to venture back there for these true stories. Fingers crossed on the contest! I have to say, I like submitting work to contests far more than I do to literary magazines or agents/publishers. Still waiting to hear about the chapbook contest I entered. It would be thoroughly cool if we both won. 🥂

It’s gonna be my first ever contest, so really looking forward to the result. The goal is to at least make it into the anthology (they said at least three memoirs would make it), but if I won that’d be amazing, of course. Really looking forward to your chapbook, too, in whichever form it releases!

I've never leaded with this kind of people when I was at school, but I did when I was in high school. But in this case it was easy to get rid up of her. By then I assisted to kung fu classes in a gimnasium, and one day as I was dressed up with my kung fu clothes and was going down the stairs she was going up and saw me... The next day we met at the corridor she ignored me 😁 I think she thought I was going to kick her or something 🤣

But is true that it still exist this kind of riddle camps in schools. That day you decide to face him and that was the result, but... what if the result would have been different?

Congratulations for this short story. Have a nice weekend! 😀
