Great to see a post from you in my inbox, Andrei.

This is a good hero page and I enjoyed reading the snippets on your past, on literature, and what you're working on.

My only feedback (and this is just personal taste/preference) is to reduce the number of hyperlinks. It's a bit overwhelming. I'd suggest picking one link per category, which serves to highlight your writing in that genre space. When I'm met by a wall of blue, I'm sort of overwhelmed and don't end up clicking anything. That's likely just me, but I see it quite a lot in people's posts. Keep me within your post; I know that's not the intention here so much, but I still think one example link per bullet point might be good. Then you could just point people to the archive if they won't to go read more.

My own experience is that people like to subscribe and read moving forward. I find very few who dig back through the archives, unless I happen to highlight a single past piece in a post.

Hey, Nathan! This is good feedback. Thanks a lot. I was trying to keep this page as a sort of hub, and for this reason provide links to most of my pieces, but I see your point about it potentially overwhelming people. I’ll think of a way to adress this issue.

No need to change anything. As I said, it's just how I feel. 😊

Fun to see you back here again! I’ve also been working on a manuscript, but of a totally different kind. Can’t wait to read more of your work!!

Oh, that’s so freaking exciting! Is it nonfiction? Would love to hear more about it.

Fiction! For kids. 😊

Oh, that’s even more exciting. Is it the one you collaborate with your mother on?

That’s the hope!! I’m not trying to be cryptic, just not ready to share all the details *quite* yet!

Hey, I can understand that. Good luck on the thing!

Andrei, I remember that Thousand Cranes guest post before I had subscribed to you. Or maybe that was why I subscribed. I can’t remember. But I loved that essay and I’ve been looking for Thousand Cranes in my local bookstores ever since. I haven’t had the chance to see it yet though.

That sucks:( but there should be a Spanish translation for it. Kawabata seems pretty popular in Europe, or at least here in Romania. I hope you find it!

Hi there! We've missed you. I'm inspired by this placeholder post as I'm gearing up to write one of my own soon. I hope you're enjoying the novel writing process ... another thing I want to start doing again SOON!!! Thanks for the kick in the ass.

I like all the blue on your site, too. 💙

Hey, Meg! Yeah, gotta say, coming back to blue (and to the original name) has felt good, right. I’ve been trying to change things up much, it seems, and this newsletter no longer felt like me. Moving forward, I’d like to get back to the roots, so to speak, of who I am and what this newsletter is. One big way I want to achieve that is by providing bilingual content in the future. I’m going to start translating some of my best essays into Romanian and hopefully be able to point new local readers here if/when the book comes out. But yeah, the blue feels right.

That's an apt intro! Well done! My only suggestion is that in this dojo, you don't train for writing, you train by writing. I guess, really, it's both.

That’s quite right! Thanks for pointing it out!

A couple of days ago I was wondering where have you been, since I haevn't seen you on notes at all. Good luck with the book! I'm also knee deep in my manuscript and this is the one hopefully!

Thanks a bunch! I also missed the platform quite a lot, and was thinking of finding a schedule that would allow me to both post more often this year and work on more long form projects. Writing this book has been so fun thus far, and I am already getting ideas for future projects. It’s nice to see I’ve been missed:)
